Research Description

Naohiko Kohtake is an associate professor and director of Sensing and Design Laboratory(http://www.kohtake.sdm.keio.ac.jp/) and Sports System Design and Management Laboratory(http://www.sports.sdm.keio.ac.jp/) at the Graduate School of System Design and Management. He has worked in research and development on avionics systems for the H-II/H-IIA rocket at Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and on-board software at European Space Agency. He was an associated senior engineer at Digital Innovation Center in JAXA working on software independent verification and validation for satellites and the International Space Station. He established Geospatial and Space Technology consortium for Innovative Social Services(http://gestiss.org) with Japanese government as one of founders in 2012. He is a steering committee member of Multi-GNSS Asia consortium and Sentinel Asia Project, and an adviser of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System Business Innovation Council. He is also adjunct associate professor, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
